Cancellation Policy

All booking cancellations will incur a minimum cancellation fee equating to 10% of the total fare amount.

Notwithstanding this cancellation fee, if your group size is less than 18 passengers and you have made a booking for a transport service, you will be charged for 100% of the total fare amount if you fail to show at your pickup point except in the following circumstances:

Your pickup is off a flight at an airport and your flight arrival time has been changed (in which case Western Shuttles will make its best efforts to meet your amended flight arrival time), or

You cancel or amend your transfer with Western Shuttles by telephone +27 (0)71 148 2194 at least 60 minutes prior to travel for Charter Services.

For all booked (prepaid and non-prepaid) services that require the prepositioning or reserved booking of a vehicle for Sightseeing or Touring services the following cancellation fees apply:

Within 24 hours and up to 4hrs of the scheduled positioning or uplift time, 50% of the total service cost.

Within 4 hours of the scheduled positioning or uplift time, 100% of the service cost.

Late Flights

Passenger transfers booked whose flights are extremely delayed flight and miss their allocated pick up will need to make alternative travel arrangements at their own expense, a full refund will be issued for the arrival journey. Western Shuttles is not responsible for delayed flights. If your flight has been delayed and you are NOT on the last service of the day, please contact the Western Shuttles office +27 (0)61 581 6861 and we will put you on the next available service. Please note: Our services are unable to wait for extended delayed flights or late passengers.

Lost Property Policy

Lost property can be claimed by contacting our office on +27 (0)61 581 6861. Western Shuttles takes no responsibility for any lost property. If any lost property has been located it will be held at our base of operations in our Durbanville office for a period of 6 months. After the period of 6 month period has past all lost property items will be donated to charity. If you wish to have your lost property delivered to you there will be an additional cost plus any postal charges.

Service Interruptions

Pick-up and drop-off times are approximate, Western Shuttles does not take responsibility for delays due to traffic or any other factor. Due to the geographical logistics of the Western Cape, a secondary service may be required to minimize travel time in an endeavor to provide a more timely service.


All passengers need to ensure they can board, disembark (via hoist assistance if booked) and move around, alternatively travel with a care assistant or companion.  

Pricing Policy

All prices are retail, include VAT and are shown in South African Rand. Periodically Western Shuttles will have “specials”. There will be time frames on these “specials” and limited numbers available. “Specials” must be booked and paid for at the time of booking and confirmed by Western Shuttles within 24 hours to guarantee that booking. Failure to pay for the “special” at time of booking may result in cancellation of the booking. We accept no responsibility for loss incurred due to cancellation in these circumstances. This clause applies to “specials” only. See item “Cancellation Policy” for further information on “regular” bookings. Western Shuttles may have third parties involved in “specials”. You may check the third party provider to determine their terms and conditions that apply to the “special”. Please note: fares and times are subject to change without notice.

Baggage Information

Luggage is limited to two suitcases and two piece of hand luggage per person (per airport weight guidelines). Surcharge applies to additional luggage items (see below. Western Shuttles shall not be liable for the loss of or damage to any personal effects, luggage or other goods, whether or not such loss or damage is suffered, or is caused by anything occurring before, after, or in the course of any journey.

Surcharge applies to the follow luggage items.

Surfboards – R70.00 each. Surfboards must be less than 6ft long (183 cm), Should the surfboard exceed 6ft they will be unable to be transported due to our vehicles size restrictions.

Bike in Bike Box – R150.00 each

Golf Clubs – R100.00 (one set per passenger)

Dangerous Goods Prohibited

For safety reasons, articles such as the following must not be carried in your baggage:

Loaded firearms.

Corrosive materials (such as alkalis, acids, wet cell batteries, mercury).

Explosives (fireworks and articles that are easily ignited).

Flammable liquids and solids (such as matches, lighters and heater fuels, flammable aerosols).

Poisonous, toxic, infectious substances.

Radioactive materials.

Compressed Gases (Deeply Refrigerated, Flammable, Non-flammable and Poisonous).

Other dangerous goods (such as offensive or noxious materials).


Fares apply only for carriage from the designated pickup point to the designated drop-off point, unless otherwise expressly stated. Fares do not include credit card payment fees or bank account to bank account transaction fees.

Subject to the taxes and charges stated herein, applicable fares are those in effect on the date of booking placement. Should you change your itinerary or any date of travel, this may result in a change to the fare. An airport access surcharge may be included in the fare. You can request information regarding these charges by contacting us at +27 (0)61 581 6861 Some fares may also include a road system toll charge if such charges are in effect on routes taken during the service.

You are responsible for applicable taxes or charges imposed by government, other authority or by the airport that are in effect on the date of travel.

Fares and charges are payable in those currencies acceptable to Tourism Transport Limited and at exchange rates determined by us at the time of booking placement.

All online website fares paid by credit card or online bank account to bank account payment will incur a payment transaction fee of 3% liable by the client.

Passenger Info

Infant= 0-2 years old. Infants travel is free.

Child= 3-13 years old. Charged at the child rate.

Children= 0-13 years old must occupy their own seat.

Car Chair= R150.00

Concession = student/senior.

Family = 2 adults and 2 children

Passengers under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by an Adult.

All children under the ages of 7 years old are required to be seated in a Car Chair, Please ask if you should need to book one.
